Dan Miller

Started at NMSU in Animal Sciences and completed degree at Washington State. Went on to get engineering degree. Spent 33 years at California DOT mostly as a construction engineer building bridges, retaining walls and a rockshed on the Big Sur Highway.

I was sitting in my first meeting as a Senior Engineer with my new boss. People were late so we were chatting about the trees turning colors. My boss, Steve, was discussing how he missed the fall colors of the aspens. I stopped him and asked did you live in New Mexico? Did you live in Los Alamos? Did you graduate in 1974?

Steve, did you know you and I were in the same class in high school!
